If yous are not familiar with updating your vehicle, please don't try to practice so. The source packages are original Ford installation archives and tin can be installed via a custom installation skript. This guide will not enable navigation on SYNC three devices that don't have it activated, in that location is but not plenty space bachelor for installation.

The part numbers explained

Creating Installation USB Drive(s)

As mentioned higher up for this installation we are using two (2) usb thumb drives. The installation could exist washed with 1 usb drive merely with that approach a lot of users reported installation problems.

USB Drive one – 32 GB or more: Maps and Reference File ("License")

Installation process

Common Errors / Trouble Shooting

Unfortunately chances are loftier you are going to run into installation bug because you did something incorrect or your setup is somehow incompatible. It's unlikely you are going to brick your APIM module (SYNC iii) only the packages won't install.

For example you volition non be able to install European union maps on a North American SYNC 3 without hardware modification/swap. If you have a NAV-enabled EU SYNC 3 and however experience this error you probably mixed upwardly installation club.
